Haryana Election 2024 North Railway has accepted the resignation of Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat. Now the way has been cleared for both the wrestlers to contest the assembly elections. Before joining the Congress, both the wrestlers had resigned from the railway job. Earlier, there was a situation of doubt about their contesting the elections.

Digital Desk, Chandigarh. Northern Railway has accepted the resignation of Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat. Now the way has been cleared for both the wrestlers to contest the assembly elections. Before joining the Congress, both the wrestlers had resigned from the railway job.

However, the Railway rules were coming in the way of accepting the resignations of both the wrestlers. There were speculations that Phogat would not be able to contest the elections due to the three-month notice period rule. According to the rules, she can contest the elections only after she is relieved from the post from the Railways or her resignation is accepted. The Railways has accepted her resignation today.

Bajrang’s resignation is also accepted

Let us tell you that Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have joined Congress before the Haryana assembly elections. Congress has fielded them from Julana assembly seat. At the same time, Bajrang has not got the ticket yet. But Bajrang has also resigned from the railway job.

Brij Bhushan Singh had targeted

After joining the Congress, former Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Singh attacked both the wrestlers. He said that the entire movement of the wrestlers was to defame me. Assembly elections in Haryana are on October 5. Voting will be held in a single phase on all 90 seats. Counting of votes will take place on October 8.
