Paralympics 2024 Shooting Avni Lekhara win gold in Tokyo Paralympic champion Avani Lekhara once again won the gold medal for India, repeating history at the Paris Paralympics. India won two medals on the second day of the Paris Paralympics. While Avani won gold in the women’s 10 meter air rifle event, Mona Agarwal won the bronze medal in the same event.

Sports Desk, New Delhi. India’s star para shooter Avani Lekhara aimed for gold in the final of the women’s 10 meter air rifle competition at the Paris Paralympics 2024. Avani gave India its first medal. Earlier also Avani had won gold at the Tokyo Paralympics. At the same time, Mona Agarwal gave India the second medal. Mona aimed for the bronze medal.

The second day was golden for India at the Paris Paralympics. Avani Lekhara retained her title in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 event and won the gold medal. Avani Lekhara won the gold medal for the second consecutive time. Avani set a new Olympic record in the final and scored 249.7 points.

Mona won the bronze medal

Avni broke her own Paralympic record from Tokyo 2020 to become India’s most successful female Paralympic athlete. India won two medals in the same event, with 36-year-old Mona Agarwal winning the bronze medal. Mona finished third in the final with 228.7 points.
